> 500W DC Silent Wind Turbine
Robust And Efficient Silent Wind
Turbine Ideal For Remote Regions
|

|
The patented mechanical speed regulator
ensures that the Silent Wind Turbine continues to produce maximum
power even in high wind speeds, when other wind turbines have to be
switched off.
The simplicity and durability of our
500W Silent Wind Turbine means it’s ideal for remote applications. |
100% of the power yielded is available
for the end user, as there are no electronics requiring power.
The Silent Wind Turbine is
clever-but-simple… it’s easy to install and maintain, has a low
start-up speed, and is suitable for a wide range of applications.

A prototype of this model of
VAWT prototype yielded the
following results:
-
Startup Wind Speed:
3.5m/s = 8.1mph or 13km/h or 7 Knots
-
4.2m/s (10mph) = 50
rpm producing 10VDC =130W
-
8.3m/s (19mph) = 100
rpm producing 20V DC = 260W
-
13.1m/s (30mph) = 150
rpm producing 28V DC = 360W
-
18.5m/s (42mph) = 200
rpm producing 36V DC = 470W
-
22 m/s to 35 m/s =
(50 mph to 80 mph) producing 38V = 500W

Existing installations
A number of these 500W DC Silent Wind
Turbines have already been installed. Below is a photo of an
installation in Mariupol in Ukraine:

Enterprises installed in Mariupol, Ukraine.
The customer insisted on a roof-top
installation, which is not usually something we'd recommend (for reasons
which are explained on our
Installation page).
